Bwana Mkubwa Bush Camp

Description

The rustic bush camp of Bwana Mkubwa offers seven wooden cabins privately situated on a bushy shoulder of the Kunkuru Mountain. Each cabin is equipped with two single beds, electricity and fans. separate ablution blocks for gentleman and ladies with four showers with hot and cold running water, are available nearby.

A lovely open plan communal kitchen is adjacent to the cosy open fire place boma, and it is equipped with a gas stove, a fridge and basic camping cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. Laundry facilities for guests can be found behind the ablution block.

Next to the camp is a lecture room which can be used for team building events and 'bosberade'. This camp is regularly used for the training of FGASA Game Rangers by the Limpopo Field Guiding Academy, but is often available to the public.

This camp is not suitable for babies and toddlers, but is ideal for families with children that are bush orientated and love the outdoors. The bush and mountain surroundings offer safe scenic walking trails which lead to the top of the Kunkuru Mountain in the Boshoffsberg. From the top of this mountain, guests can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Springbok Flats. On very hot days guests can cool off in the nearby plunge pool. Activities such as game drives and spa treatments can also be enjoyed at the main lodge.

Bwana Mkubwa Bush Camp is ideal for campers and outdoorsy types that don't want to be troubled with the pitching of tents and carting of camping equipment.
