Description

Owner managed, Bushpackers is a quality international backpackers in the lush Sabie Valley in the South Africa Lowveld. A good place to use as a base to explore Kruger National Park ( Phabeni Gate is about 15 km away) and the Panorama Route. We offer basic but clean twin rooms, also en suite, family rooms and a mixed dormitory. Home cooked meals available as are snacks. A small communal self catering kitchen can be used or share the braai with our other guests and enjoy the international vibe ! The fully stocked bar provides for the drinks to enjoy in our open lounges with full view of the bush. The splash pool gives welcome coolness on the hot Lowveld days. Plenty outdoor activities (quad biking, elephant rides, rafting etc.) in the area with the entertaining bush-walks or Private Big 5 Trails as highlights. Our campsite is under large shady trees and the bush-showers are an absolute must !With personal service and a relaxed atmosphere Bushpackers is the right place to be for an affordable and pleasant stay.

Relaxation: Bushpackers is a great place to relax and unwind during the day. The garden is spacious and green and there are cosy places to sit under the trees in the shade and let the day go by.

For me it is already a must-do. Every time I go to the Kruger I stay in Adrien's place. Food, music, friends, accommodation - everything's perfect! There was this hippo in the area! We could listen to his sounds from our room! Awesome! Signals on the road don't lie about that! Thanks Adrien!

Nice rustic place. Clean, and has the basic necessities needed for a night or two. Great job Adrian. Only suggestion is that maybe a small range of braai stuff like coal and firelighters be available to buy. Most travellers arrive late and without these things. Other backpackers I've stayed at have a fire going all the time.

Our trip to Mpumalanga was long awaited. We were relatively well reassured with the positive feedback of Bushpackers on accommodation websites. However we did not know that the manager (selfdeclared new owner) had changed in a month, which led to an epic overnight stay involving stupidity and arrogance. The kitchen was badly stocked and its gas stove dangerously malfunctioning. The manager's possessiveness of kettles was alarming. George/"handyman" seemed to be the only one aware of se ... more

We really enjoyed our stay at Bushpackers. The owners are very nice and help you with everything you need. The location was lovely and very close to the Panorama Route and Kruger National Park. I can highly recommend this hostel to everybody!
