Facilities

Bushman Valley is located within the Swartberg Private Nature Reserve - the area south of Prince Albert up to Eerstewater in the Swartberg Pass. The valley was occupied by San for thousands of years and is preserved in memory of them. Learn the hunter gatherer lifestyle of these fascinating people and see their implements, clothing and weapons.

Picnic and barbecue areas, camping and caravan sites have been provided in the valley, below towering cliffs. The lodge provides facilities for learning about Bushmen and buying souvenirs and refreshments.

We were pleasantly surprised with the place. Very nice atmosphere and if we are in the vicinity we would like to return. Only thing was the electricity supply to the lodges couldn't handle all the appliances and tripped a couple of times!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Camping facilities were absolutely fine. More shade would be nice but we saw a lot of trees being planted.
