Hanover is situated halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town on the N1 and is an ideal stopover for weary travellers. The Karoo Village of Hanover is a great pit stop on the long journey between Johannesburg and Cape Town.Woman's
rights pioneer and famous author, Olive Schreiner, referred to this town as the prettiest village I have ever seen. The unrivaled ambience is provided by dusty streets and pretty historical buildings as well as the old furrows which still takes spring water through the town..
Our Church is arguably has one of the most beautiful church buildings in South Africa and also appears on several postcards.
Numerous historical buildings and monuments are within walking distance. Your walks will lead you to many historical sites, Guest Houses, Restaurants, our Hotel, up Trappieskop - a magnificent view site of the village, and many a artist can be visited on your tour. Hanover is visited by 12 000-odd Lesser kestrels from Russia in summer.
Star gazing under the karoo skies are an exceptional experience. Here we are able to count the stars and not the cars.The milky way is nowhere to be seen as clearly as in the Karoo.

Very good. Warm and welcoming, clean, lovely attention to detail with comfy beds and very peaceful even though it's in the center of town. Dinner was fair but could be greatly improved, breakfast tasty.

Ons wil net vir Tossie en Daan dankie sê vir hul gasvryheid en vriendelike manier waarop ons ontvang is. Dit was asof ons vir familie gekuier het. Dankie ook vir Daan wat ons op 'n toer gevat het deur die wonderlike kerk, defnitief 'n meesterstuk!! Ons het met ons terugkoms weer daar oornag en was met dieselfde vriendelikheid ontvang.
