Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge is located only 20 km from the Martinsdrift or Groblersbrug border post and is the ideal stopover en-route to Botswana, Zimbabwe or the Mapungubwe National Park. Here in the heart of the African Bushveld, you will be refreshed and uplifted by an inspiring sense of open and unspoilt space, big skies, compelling views and an unmistakable closeness to nature.
Buffalo Thorn Lodge accommodates a maximum of 10 guests in four Luxury Chalets with private decks overlooking a waterhole abundant with wildlife and birds. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom, outdoor rock shower, fireplace, minibar, coffee bar, safe and air-conditioner.
The entertainment area with its lounge and wine desk has a cosy wood fireplace and luxury lounge leading to the patio overlooking the waterhole. Lunch, drinks and meals are served here. Most dinners are enjoyed underneath the African skies while sitting around the cracking fire of the fire pit in the boma.
Our camp staff members are well trained to make your stay as comfortable as possible and to provide a relaxed and personal atmosphere along with flavoursome African cuisine.
