Bramleigh Manor is a secluded and privately run country guest house located near the village of Nottingham Road in the Natal Midlands. Bramleigh Manor is situated on a 200-hectare eco-estate and is surrounded by the outskirts of the Drakensberg Mountains. We are about a four and half hour drive from Johannesburg and about one and a half hour's drive from Durban.

Bramleigh Manor is very much off the beaten track, offering a very quiet, peaceful and tranquil environment amidst authentic indigenous forest and natural surroundings. It is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle, with birds, samango monkeys, bushbuck and Nguni cattle providing the background sound.

The thatched manor house offers accommodation in private, luxury suites with their own entrances, kitchenettes, lounge areas, and patios overlooking the extensive, wonderful garden and the indigenous forest. There are also thatched en-suite rondavel-style rooms away from the main house with spectacular views. All rooms are equipped with a fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities and fireplace, and are also fully serviced. A hearty country breakfast is served daily, as well as exclusive, three-course dinners on request. Romantic breakfasts can be served in the forest on request.

Bramleigh Manor offers many activities including excellent birding, with over 200 recorded bird species, forest walks in the indigenous forest, tree identification, trout fishing, scenic mountain hikes, mountain biking, and small game-viewing on the estate. Guests can also take day trips to the Midlands Meander or drive a 4x4 route up the Sani Pass. Alternatively, you can simply relax in the peaceful surroundings after a sumptuous country breakfast with flowers, sunbirds and the forest as a backdrop.

Thank you for the most relaxing holiday ever. The host and hostess made us feel so welcome. The food was to die for and in such great quantity we actually had to ask for less!!! The accommodation was lovely and the bedroom fireplace made for lovely romantic evenings. The tranquil forest walk was one of the most beautiful walks I have ever experienced. I would definitely go back and I would also recommend this resort for a peaceful and tranquil getaway.
