Description

Family time under our big country sky around the Boma fire, or you may prefer the comfort of the patio or lapa, enjoy an unbelievable sunset, and be entertained by night call of the jackal, nightjars and owls. The Boubou’s call is a constant reminder of the rich birdlife of over 350 species, including a number of interesting raptors of the bushveld and enthusiastic birdwatchers and nature lovers will have close encounters with birds, nyalas, duikers, bushbuck and blesbuck. Birds are attracted to the garden by indigenous trees and plants and food are put out on bird feeders and placed strategically to be enjoyed from the patio. Boubou B&B is designed for the view, overlooking the real bushveld. Come retreat in solitude in a very well secured, safe and clean environment.  You will be welcomed with unrivalled hospitality where new friends are made, situated halfway between Rustenburg and Koster on the R52, a mere 10 minutes drive from the N4.  

Accommodation:
Boubou B&B offers a luxury en-suite double room with a private Jacuzzi, shower and sauna overlooking a beautiful garden setting. It has a king size bed and well suited for honeymoon guests. Families are having the comfort of another double room and single room with 2 single beds with a shared bathroom, ideal for children and single people.  

Dining:
Outdoor dining forms a main part of our lifestyle at Boubou B&B, and meals are usually served on the patio, or at the boma or on the lapa overlooking over a canopy of bushveld trees, while nyalas and duiker are peacefully and undisturbed grace a few meters away.   The rate includes a full “Farm style” breakfast, freshly baked bread and home made jams, fresh fruits from the season with a cup of “boeretroos” traditionally South African brewed coffee. Dinner, the meal of the day is available on request at an additional charge and an organic garden with fresh vegetables and herbs and organic game meat form part of the interesting menu. Dietary needs are taken in consideration in planning the menu.  After a delicious dinner, the boma is the perfect place to enjoy sundowners next to a blazing fire and enjoy the stars above, and be entertained by the sounds of the bushveld “concert” at night.  

Services and facilities:
An easy gas braai facility and small fridge on the patio are available for families who prefer to “braai”. For a more bush experience you may prefer the braai area at the boma. The communal guest lounge is climate controlled and offers DStv and DVD player.  In winter the fireplace is the best place to enjoy long hours of relaxing. Secured car parking is available a few steps from the house. The patio has been set aside as a smoking area. Attractions and activities:
Take an informative game drive in an open game viewer or bush walks and feel the dust and heat of the bushveld beneath the soles of your feet, or revel in the excitement of seeing the bushveld in a different "light" and take a night drive.   Game drives are available during out of hunting season and on request to an additional charge.  Guests are picked up at the front door of Boubou B&B. A private airfield and helicopter landing pad is less than 5 minutes drive from Boubou B&B.  Flights and flips are available on request and to an additional charge. Boubou B&B is located a mere 40-45  minutes drive from the world famous Lost City and Casino at Sun City and Pilanesberg National Park,  the home to the "Big Five". A visit to the Madikwe Game Reserve 200 km’s and Marakele National Park 170 km’s away from Boubou B&B is an unforgettable experience and something you have to do before leaving the North West Province. Boubou B&B is only 15 minutes drive from the Royal Bafokeng Sport Stadium, one of the host stadiums of the 2010 World Cup Soccer.
