Exceeded our expectations
Excellent, unique experience. Tents are great. My wife would even consider camping if this was the norm. Service was first class. Game wardens were very helpful. Game reserve far exceeded our expectations. WE had been warned that "Private Game reserves were large safari parks. In Boltierskop's case this is not so. We were entranced by coming across giraffes eating in the trees and water buffalo appearing to want to charge the truck. Running impala and mad wildebeests set off the whole ... more

Botlierskop has suffered severe damages due to the flood of November 21st 2007. We are in the process of rebuilding the rooms and moving them to a more secure area so that we can assure prevention of such an incident in the future. We are awaiting municipal feedback with regard to road repair, as the roads were washed away. No animals. The current projection is to reopen in April 2008. Set on the foothills of the magnificent Outeniqua Mountians near Mossel Bay an George in a Malaria Free area in South Africa's Garden Route, Botlierskop Private Game Reserve ensures a truly unique safari experience. Each of the 19 luxury-tented suites at Botlierskop is elegantly decorated in a romantic colonial theme with 4-poster beds draped with mosquito nets.
