Bluegum Country Lodge is a classic country getaway. It is an attractive red face-brick development situated in Bethal. Located in the heart of the Cosmos Country in Mpumalanga, Bluegum will easily become your preferred overnight rest stop on your way to Swaziland, St. Lucia and the North Coast.

Bluegum Country Lodge is nestled among bluegum trees typical of the Highveld landscape. Away from the hustle and bustle we encourage our guests to relax close to nature and to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. The lodge boasts 40 en-suite rooms and conference and wedding facilities that can accommodate up to 300 delegates in all different styles. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to contemplate life or to to brainstorm with colleagues.

There are a number of magnificent accommodation options available at Bluegum. The 40 en-suite rooms are decorated in African prints with a mixture of rich earthy colours, a slate decoration in the spacious bathrooms and a gritty yellow ocre wall finish. The modern room design creates a feeling of space, which echoes the farm-like atmosphere where large trees and a rich bird life are in abundance. This is the place to be to unwind after a long day. The finest furniture, décor and good quality linen ensure that our guests stay in luxurious comfort. The well-equipped rooms mirror the warm personal touch of the owners, Marius and Carina, who will also brighten your winter stay.

We offer Single rooms, Double rooms and a Honeymoon suite. The Honeymoon suite is a charming open-plan space with a large corner Jacuzzi bath, softened by a lush draped curtain. Special rooms are available which cater for disabled visitors. Visitors staying on the first floor can enjoy the scenery from the smoking patio, or have a morning coffee in the courtyard under white stinkwood trees.

All the rooms are equipped with DStv, underfloor heating, coffee and tea facilities, a private entrance, a bar fridge, and an honesty bar with cool drinks and chocolates. Guests have their own access control and a fax facility is available at reception. There is also a daily laundry service, large and secure parking, and wireless Internet access.
