Blue Horizon Bay Guest House

Good rooms and very good breakfast but unhospitable host.

"Blue Horizon Bay"... another stunning location, our very comfortable room was in the front of the house, with an uninterrupted view of the, well... blue horizon! We had wall to wall sunshine for pretty much the whole of our fortnight, this day was no exception and after a hot and tiring walk/paddle along a couple of k's of the exquisite beach (particularly the climb back up the dunes to the car - phew!). I enjoyed a most refreshing dip in Hans and Marlene's little pool - lovely! The evening meal they provided was plain, but tasty enough and reasonably priced. There was a misunderstanding over the ordering of Dinner, as my Pork Chop turned out to be Lamb (!) and Chrissie's Chicken Stroganoff arrived as a Beef Stroganoff...? Hey ho! We made no mention and it all got eaten! At breakfast there were no such probs! And it was a good tasty start to the day.

I only stayed at the guest house for one night, but enjoyed it for its quietness. The beach is quite close by down the hill. The optional breakfast is much recommended.

Service is excellent. Good accommodation. The one bathroom needs some attention.

There is nothing to complain about. Hans and his wife Mariette are the best and their place is beautiful and clean. The breakfast is great! I will recommend them any day.
