The stay at Bluegum Cottage was relaxing and most enjoyable. The facilities where clean and had all a person needed for a nice weekend. The view from the cottage was stunning and one felt extremely safe there. The owner was extremely hospitable and even helped us with a flat battery problem before we left. We will definitely recommend and use Bluegum Cottage in the future.

Wonderful,27 December 2007
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Blue gum Cottage. The birdlife was fantastic, we paddled our boats on the Breede river and rode our Mtn bikes in the area in between sipping wines from the area. The view from the stoep was wonderful and what a great braai area. Neil was a great host. Thank you.

What a weekend !,08 October 2007
What a wonderful place to be. The cottage was beautiful and also the surrounding areas. The view from the "stoep" and "braai" were unbelievable. Bonnievale itself was so peaceful and the people friendly, we didn't expect it at all. The cottage itself, everything was there, all that you need for the weekend.
We would visit Bonnievale and the Blue Gum Cottage once again. Thank you,

Description
Blue Gum Cottage is just 2 hours from Cape Town, this is an ideal getaway, surrounded by mountains and situated on the banks of the Breede River.
The Cottage offers 1 fully equipped self-catering cabin with 2 bedrooms and a sleeper couch in the living room, inside and outside braai(BBQ) and 2 bathrooms.
Ideal for the family of 4 or for couples. Just the place to come and relax and enjoy pure nature.
The liberal use of raw timber, reed and river pebbles results in a relaxed and cool interior. Like other getaways along the Breede, your stay will be filled with birdwatching, canoeing (boat provided), fishing, swimming, strolling the farm’s walking trail and braaing to the tune of local birdlife and fiery sunsets. We can't wait for you to experience it for yourselves.
Dogs not allowed.
