A bit about this place we call a haven……. This beautiful stone cottage is the ideal self-catering option. It is located within a small Nature Reserve (Blue Bay Nature Reserve) in the quiet seaside village of Suiderstrand which is situated 5km from the town of L’Agulhas, the most Southern tip of Africa, where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet in a paradise of natural wealth and fynbos. Suiderstrand in turn is surrounded by the newly developed Agulhas National Park. (See www.sanparks.org .) It is also only 5km away from the famous L’Agulhas Light House.   The cottage has 2 bedrooms and a loft and sleeps 6 people comfortably. There are 2 bathrooms. (The main bedroom has an en-suite shower, toilet and washbasin. The other bathroom has a bath, toilet and a washbasin). Both rooms have double beds and the loft area 2 single beds. (A double sleeping couch is also available in the loft area). The house and kitchen is fully furnished and all the bed linen is supplied. It has an inside braai. It is within walking distance, 150m from the sea and 900m from a picturesque tidal pool for safe swimming. The cottage has a 180 degree sea view from the front porch (stoep).   If tranquil eco living is what you are looking for, then you have found the right place. There is no electricity. Solar power is used for the lights and fridge and gas for the geysers. Radios and cell phone charges etc. can be plugged in but not hairdryers and any appliance with an element is allowed.  Restaurants, shops and a Laundromat are within 5 km. Things to do include deep-sea fishing, angling, swimming, snorkelling in the rock pools, whale watching, horse riding and walks along the beach.  Arniston, Swellendam, Hermanus, Elim, Malgas, Stanford and De Hoop are all nearby destinations with beautiful scenery and history.   You will never see a sunset more captivating than here at the most southern tip of Africa.
