Facilities

Blood River Outspan Lodge offers four traditionally decorated bedrooms sleeping 12 guests in total. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom.

We have a fully licenced restaurant on the premises which serves breakfast, lunch and dinners on request. Our Smouswa shop sells souvenirs, postcards, books, videos, DVDs, home produce and refreshments. We also have a hall for functions and weddings, accommodating up to 500 people.

The service was friendly and professional, the food was excellent and the information given by Dons Grobler about the history of Blood River was insitefull. The only negative comment is that they must PLEASE replace the bed matresses for it was verry uncomfortable.

Quiet and peaceful with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Our host was very accommodating to those who arrived early or late. The history of the monument and the battle was fascinating.

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable weekend at the lodge. Time was short so we did not have time to enjoy the tour but we will return. The room, food and service were first class and very affordable. I recommend this to everyone.
