About Blesfontein Guest Farm
Blesfontein is situated 28 km southwest of Sutherland in the Northern Cape. This large working farm offers nine self-catering rooms, each on a different part of the farm.
The stone units are all basic yet offer all the necessary amenities for self-catering. Each unit has its own bathroom facilities and most units have an indoor fireplace or a braai outside.
The farm itself offers a large terrain to explore either by taking a long relaxing walk or heading out on your mountain bike. There is also an abundance of animals and bird life on the farm. In the cement reservoir next to the Poplar trees down the hill we have a lot of friendly Koi fish.
The tame farmyard animals are harmless and friendly. Although all the animals are fed regularly you are allowed to feed them at any time of the day.
A 50% non refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of booking. The rest is payable on departure.

a perfect option to ecperience farm life! Neat snd clean accommodation with friendly hosts!
Nicol and Marina were very hospitable and recommended various routes for us to travel on the way back to Cape Town, we tool there advice and went to the escarpment, what a beautiful view, we then went over the Ouberg Pass, what an experience.Unfortunately the weather was overcast, so we did not get to see the stars, which was the main reason for the trip, but on the farm they have a couple of pot belly pigs and some Lama's which are very tame and kept us occupied. The breakfast we had was excellent.Overall a good weekend.
Marina and Nicol go out of their way to make sure everyone enjoys their stay and their advice on what to see and do around Sutherland helps the traveller discover even more sights and experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime. Thanks Marina and Nicol for a memorable stay.
With true Karoo hospitality, we were welcomed by owners Nicol & Marina. They made us feel right at home, the kids loved the horse riding and feeding the Khoi fish in the farm dam and the two tame pigs and Alpaca herd really delighted them! We really appreciated Nicol getting up at 3 in the morning to do stargazing with us, he is very knowledgeable on the topic of stars and what an experience to feel so close to them! The accommodation was very clean and very comfortable, and a really great time was had by all! My only negative comment would be that the stay was much to short, we will definite... see more
