The Birches Guest House was one of the first guest houses to be established and open its doors in Middelburg, in August 1995. The Birches is an accredited guest house and has an AA Highly Recommended grading.

The Birches nestles in a peaceful and beautiful garden, and is well known for its gracious atmosphere and excellent personal service. The privacy of our guests is of the utmost importance and attention to detail is given to ensure that our guests enjoy a memorable and comfortable stay.

We have five tastefully decorated private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, private access and sunny patios. All the rooms have TVs with M-Net, tea and coffee-making facilities and home-baked specialties.

In addition to our local South African guests, we continually host many international tourists, and businessmen and women, and take pride in being able to assist our guests with relevant tourist information, especially supporting our local places of interest and tourist initiatives.

There is a private guest dining room which overlooks the garden, where our full English or continental breakfasts are served daily. Our guest lounge opens out onto the garden and swimming pool area. We have a sparkling, salt water pool. We have secure off-street parking.

The Birches is situated in a quiet and pretty residential area in Middelburg, 2 km from the CBD and conveniently close to shopping centres and restaurants.
