Description
Big Fig is ideal for guests looking to spend some time in the great outdoors. It is about 6 km from Modimolle and is located on the Donkerpoort Road. This game farm offers guests a choice of accommodation in the farmhouse or shady Campsites.
The house is self-catering and consists of four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with showers only. It also has a large sitting room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and burners. The big veranda has a Jacuzzi that overlooks the bush and braai area. Five Campsites are available for groups and share an ablution block. A kitchen is available but is not equipped and guests need to bring their own cooking utensils.
The farm consists of 125 hectares of unspoilt nature and the two-hour 4x4 route on the farm; a track rating between three and five in the Waterberg Mountain is the main attraction. Guests can take a leisurely self-drive in their 4x4 or do one of the many walking trails on the farm. Guests can expect to see kudu, impala, rooihartbees and zebra. Guests can also enjoy the hideaway at a waterhole located five minutes from the house and Campsite. Excellent birdwatching can be done on the farm or guests can take a drive to the Nylsvlei bird and nature reserve. Other attractions in the area include the Crocodile Farm, Elephant Safaris, fishing, boating and water sports at the Donkerpoort Dam.

African Safari: Guests can expect to see kudu, impala, rooihartbees and zebra. Guests can also enjoy the hideaway at a waterhole located five minutes from the house and Campsite.
