Self-catering garden cottage ideal for a small family of four people or a couple who would like a safe, relaxed holiday or weekend. The unit consists of one double en-suite bedroom, a second bedroom with double bunks suitable for children, and open-plan living area, and a well-equipped kitchen. Features also include a secluded garden with a private barbecue facility.

While enjoying the tranquility of the holiday cottage, be sure to visit the southern-most point of Africa, view the lighthouse, and take a peek at the museum and curio shop. The unit is only 150 m from the tidal pools, perfect for swimming, and just 14 km from the long, sandy beach of Struisbaai. Other activities include surfing, hiking, whale spotting, tennis, bowling, horse riding, or rock and surf angling.

We were warmly welcomed to Bietou by Paul, and found it, to be very clean, including all cutlery, crockery glassware and utensils this was a big plus point for us. It is an Unpretentious B&B with the entrance and braii area tucked nice and privately round the back. It is very adequately equipped should you want to undertake cooking for the family, and should you wish to take a break there are a number of restaurants in the area. My only criticism would be that the shower is not very powerful; however as water pressure in this area could be a concern there could be mitigating circumstances. At the asking price per night, we feel it was very good value for money.
