Beverley Country Cottages are set in the beautiful Dargle Valley of the Natal Midlands, on the farm Beverley, where the early Irish settlers set up home in the late 1800’s. It is part of the Midlands Meander, a haven for world class artists and craftsmen and where one can experience a gentler pace of life, while enjoying our friendly hospitality and comfortable accommodations.

All three of our cottages, The Hayloft, dairy and stables, are superbly set up for self-catering, although breakfast and dinners are available on request. All bedrooms are en-suite with a shower and a bath, the central lounges have log fireplaces, bringing a sense of coziness to those chilly wintery days. The cottages are ideal for a variety of stays from a romantic and peaceful getaway to a fun-filled family holiday, as they can sleep two, four and six guests respectively. Each has their own veranda and special views. Fishing, walking and exploring the indigenous forests can be arranged.

In the original stone homestead, built in 1913, there are an additional two large rooms with oregan floors and ceilings, which are offered on a bed and breakfast basis only. Enjoy the splendour of these elegant rooms, while relaxing in the grand Victorian baths or the comfortable sleigh, or four-poster beds. They each have their own separate entrances off a shared veranda.

We had the pleasure of spending a weekend at the Hayloft Cottage, and it was a real treat! I loved the little extras, amazing filter coffee, rusks to delight, a complimentary turn-down with little chocolates, and more than enough fire-wood to keep us warm during the cold afternoons. Our stay was uninterrupted, and peaceful and we felt really safe and comfortable. Thank you Kate, it was an absolute delight.

We had a wonderful stay. The Dairy Cottage was lovely and very clean, and the view was spectacular. It is such a relaxing and pretty place to be. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. It is also very child friendly. We would definitely go again.

We stayed here for two nights. We were greeted with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for a short stay, and the chalet was really beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Hayloft Room, and loved the fireplace and double shower! Thanks Kate for a lovely stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Beverley. Such a beautiful setting with a very comfortable, spacious bedroom and gorgeous Victorian bath. The breakfast on the verandah overlooking the Dargyle valley was delicious. All in all a very enjoyable stay and such brilliant value for money. We would recommend to anyone looking for peaceful, beautiful accommodation in the midlands.

Really enjoyed our stay, a lovely touch was arriving late each night to a pre-lit fire. Also enjoyed the fresh flowers, lovely linen, and huge bath and shower! A great place to relax.
