Bergzicht B&B is situated in Malmesbury, in the heart of the Swartland Wine Route, not even 3 km from the closest wine farm. The historic town of Malmesbury rests in a gorgeous setting surrounded by mountains and wheat fields, and in winter yellow blazes of canola and indigenous wild flowers.
We offer four Garden Units next to the swimming pool. The units can be booked either as self-catering or as bed and breakfast. There are four comfortably furnished Double Bedrooms with TVs, tea and coffee facilities, and heating and cooling available. A two-bedroom Self-catering Cottage with a small conference centre for 20 to 30 guests has been added to our existing accommodation. A full English breakfast is served daily and dinners are available on request.
Malmesbury might have a rural setting, but the town has a vibrant community that plays host to the annual Swartland Food and Wine Festival during winter, where wine tasting and good food are the measure of the day. Bergzicht is less than five minutes' away from the golf course.
The original settlers in Malmesbury were drawn here by a sulphur chloride mineral spring, renowned for its healing ability. Today there is a wonderful historic walk through Malmesbury that includes the local museum and the landmark Dutch Reformed Church, the fifth oldest congregation in the country.
