This picturesque town is the 3rd oldest town in South Africa and is dominated by the 2nd largest granite outcrop in the world. It was these granite boulders glistening in the sun after some rain that inspired Abraham Gabbema, in 1657, to name the mountain “the Diamond and Pearl Mountain” from which the name Paarl was later derived.

All of our 17 comfortable en-suite rooms have panoramic views over Paarl Mountain or Paarl Valley. Relax at our swimming pool and share the space with wonderful bird life.
