Bangweulu Bay Lodge

In Northern Zambia lies a large lake with water so blue and beaches so white that one could mistake it for the sea. Here, at Lake Bangweulu, lies a piece of paradise for relaxation and fishing, Bangweulu Bay Lodge.

Bangweulu Bay Lodge offers a total of three chalets with a lakefront view, as well as a family chalet. The units are all within 200 m from the most beautiful white beach, and each chalet can accommodate up to three guests. The chalets are equipped with solar-powered geysers providing hot running water every day, as well as one double bed and one single bed and an en-suite bathroom. Amenities provided include toiletries, bath towels and mineral water.

Activities take full advantage of the unusual setting and include hobie-cat sailing, island boat trips and fishing. The lodge boasts its own scenic harbour and a mangrove thicket which is treasured by vervet monkeys. The lodge also has easy access to the rare ecosystem of the Bangweulu swamps, the only place to find the endemic black lechwe antelope, and one of the best places to see the rare shoebill stork. Swimming in Lake Bangweulu is another option for relaxation or as a sport.
