Bancroft B & B is in HIlton, in the forested, evergreen hills above Pietermaritzburg, the capital of Kwazulu-Natal. Offering 2 extremely comfortable, luxury B & B suites, with DSTV, a hospitality fridge, tea and coffee facilities, fans and heaters. The Family suite has 2 bedrooms, the Master Bedroom with a King size bed and the other with twin beds, and Double Suite has twin beds. Internet and fax facilities are also available. We serve a hearty English Breakfast or a Health Breakfast and endeavour to cater for special needs and preferences. Close to private schools like St. Annes and Hilton College ,10 minutes from the City Centre and at the start of the Midlands Meander we are conveniently situated near all the main routes, and being on the R103, we are very easy to find. Oribi airport is 15kms away and Durban is about an hours drive. Not to be missed - The Royal Agricultural Showgrounds are just 5 minutes drive away. Bancroft is on the doorstep of Worlds View which is a riding hotspot for Down Hill and Off Road Bikers and the surrounding counrtyside offers some of the most wonderful Off Road Dirt Bike terrain you can find anywhere.

We stayed at Bancroft during our family's annual Christmas festivities. Tina was very welcoming and we were pleased to find quality clean rooms. This is a great overnight venue with much thought being put into ensuring guests are comfortable.

I had the great pleasure of staying at Bancroft for just over a month. Tina, Alan, Ryan and Emma have made a wonderful home for their guests, and make everyone feel incredibly welcome and I truly felt like one of the family at the end of my stay. If you're staying for one night or 30 nights, I would recommend Bancroft to anyone.

Had a great stay at Bancroft in the lovely colonial style home of Tina and Alan who were such great hosts. They could not do enough for us, even treating us to a home cooked traditional South African dinner. The rooms were spacious and luxurious in a very pleasant area of Pietermaritzburg. We were sent us off each morning with a cracking breakfast which will long be remembered. Alan and Tina were also kind enough to allow us to come back for an additional night at very short notice.
It was really lovely.

The Bancroft Bed and Breakfast was truly a "home-away-from-home" experience for me! I stayed 3 days with the Wagener family, and they made me feel right at home the moment I walked through the door! Tina and Ema even met Hanan and I at a gas station and escorted us back to their home, as I had just completed the Comrades Ultra Marathon in Pietermaritzburgh.
