For an experience you will never forget , visit the Bananien Lodge in Sabie for a unforgettable holiday in pristine self catering-units within 40kms from the Kruger National Park. Your hosts, Pieter & Maggie welcome you to their unique lodge providing a sumptuous base for a unforgettable rustic African experience in self-catering thatched roof log cabins. Nestling in scenic and indigenous bush and waterfalls it has the combined comfort and natural surroundings to create a retreat of tranquility in a malaria free area.

Experience nature in these open vehicles, guided tours in the surrounding forests alongside water cascades and waterfalls is an adventure not to be missed. These functional self presented self-catering, thatched roof log cabins and rondawel, which sleeps one to four persons each and has a private braai area to retreat away from reality. Come and enjoy our hospitality while you relax and unwind with a sun downer on the wooden deck of your log cabin. Take time to enjoy the leisurely and peaceful ambience of poolside relaxation with splash pool for toddlers surrounded by the soothing sounds of the waterfall and the cacophony of bird-calls.

Bananien Lodge is a perfect base from which to explore all the major attractions of the Mpumalanga region.Please bring own towels as we do not supply towels, we will on request provide towels for guest that travel, and does not have towels with them.

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge, the rooms were neat and clean. Our hosts Pieter, Maggie and Jacques were all very welcoming. We will be back here again the next time we holiday in Sabie.

We spent four days in a lovely, well-equipped log cabin next to the swimming pool, in a beautiful forest setting. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay again.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The lodge was very clean, great showers and kitchen well equipped. Nice to have a pool when it's hot. I would recommend it to other travellers.

Please take note that both levels of our self-catering double storey guest house is open plan (no separate rooms). Bottom Level: Verandah with a built-in-braai. Full kitchen, bathroom with a shower in, double bed, bunk bed and dining table. Upper Level: Lounge, double bed, two 3/4 beds,bathroom with two showers in and a wooden deck on top. The guest house sleeps max 8 persons. Fully equipped kitchen , stove , microwave oven , large fridge Build in braai with braai utensils. The rate displayed is based on a minimum of four guests booking.
