A mere two hour drive from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg and ten minutes from Sun City, lies a place of breathtaking beauty and serenity, Bakubung Bush Lodge. Concealed in the rich expanses of the malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park, Bakubung, otherwise known as "People of the Hippo" offers guests everything they need to get in touch with the bush, including Big 5 game drives.

We have four available conference venues:
• The Mmakubu venue can accommodate up to 120 people in cinema style.
• The Kubunyana venue can accommodate up to 60 people in cinema style.
• The Magarekubu A venue can accommodate up to 40 people in cinema style.
• The Magarekubu B venue can accommodate up to 60 people in cinema style.

This was my second time at Bakubang and it is as lovely as the first time. I took my mum (from overseas ) as she has never stayed in a lodge and it's close to Joburg, but far away to feel in the middle of Africa. Loved the feeling you get staying at the lodge. The staff are so friendly and nothing is a problem to solve. I will return.
