Description
Badsfontein is a sixth generation merino sheep farm in the heart of the Karoo. Situated 20 km outside of Murraysburg and just off the N1, it is a place to come and rediscover the beauty and tranquility of our country's vast, open expanses and to reconnect with nature. We offer a fully furnished 3 Star guest cottage and we have a traditional farmhouse.
At Badsfontein, we have to lots of activities. There are several day hiking routes with wildlife including springbok, blesbok, oryx, tortoises, dung beetles and dragonflies. There are plenty of beautiful birds so bring your binoculars for some bird watching. Veld drives with beautiful panoramic views of the Karoo are a must for sundowners and there are some splendid rock paintings. You could also enjoy a slow walk and take a horse though the veld, or grab a bike and go for a leisurely cycle. Waterskiing and canoeing on the farm dam is great fun during summer and you can challenge your partner to a friendly game of tennis. Enjoy the crisp clear country sky for star gazing at night. We also offer special life coaching classes based on the Logo-therapy method.
