Au Pear is an old Cape cottage with four luxury suites surrounding a courtyard with Catawba and Hanepoot grapevines.

Recently completely renovated, Au Pear retains much of its period charm. This boutique guest house is tucked away in a side road in the heart of leafy Newlands, and is situated within walking distance of the University of Cape Town, Newlands forest, Newlands Rugby and Cricket Grounds, local pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. Only 15 minutes to the city centre and Cape Town International Airport, and 20 minutes to the beach, we are ideally located to suit the needs of all types of travellers.

While delicious, healthy breakfasts can be made for you on request as an optional extra, guests are encouraged to use the kitchen and dining facilities to make meals and entertain. Other facilities include a braai, laundry facilities, off-street parking with electronic access and security fencing.

This is paradise. We had a busy time in Cape Town, and being able to come to Au Pear at the end of each day was the best thing ever. Our welcome was outstanding, especially as we arrived so late. Our room was something out of a magazine - with every need met. Au Pear is the most superb place we have ever stayed at, and we do stay at a lot of B&B's. We will always try and stay here whenever we come to Cape Town. This is the best place to stay.
