Arumeru River Lodge

Arumeru River Lodge is set in lush tropical garden with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. The property is spread over 12 acres of landscaped gardens and natural African bush land, bordering on a seasonal river bed lined with huge trees. Many species of birds can be viewed and we also have a number of small animals on the grounds.

The lodge comprises a main building, which is decorated with a central fireplace, a comfortable lounge and bar area, a reception area with state of the art communication facilities, a cloak room and a restaurant which serves the best dishes around. Integrated into the reception area is a curio shop, stocked with tasteful souvenirs.

The terrace restaurant, with views of the mountains, overlooks the tropical gardens and a large solar-heated swimming pool. There are 21 spacious, comfortable rooms with en-suite bathrooms and verandahs, all on ground floor level. Like the main building, all rooms are tastefully decorated in African style, with carefully selected materials and light management.

Arumeru River Lodge was built on the site of an old coffee farm and is situated only 700 m south of the main Arusha–Moshi road, just a 35 minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and 25 minutes away from the bustling town of Arusha.

This exclusive lodge with its particular African charm was opened to welcome guests in April 2005. It is our aim to offer our guests comfortable, luxurious accommodation, personalized service, great attention to detail, excellent international and African cuisine and an inviting homely atmosphere.
