The century-old oaks still stand tall today telling the tale of Arbeid Adelt Guest House, dating back to 1897 and nestled at the foot of the mighty Matroosberg Mountains. The Hex River Valley is well-known for its export grapes, the longest harvest season in the world, and its autumn splendour when the vineyards is vibrant with colour like a patchwork.

The guest house was established in 2002 and has built up a reputation of warm hospitality, with many guests returning. Come and experience all four seasons in the Hex River Valley. Summer is the time to visit a packing shed and taste the grapes, bring your camera during Autumn for a photographic experience, in Winter enjoy our hearty fires with snowy mountains in soft blue shades, and Spring is the awakening of new life in light shades of green.

The guest house offers bed and breakfast accommodation and features a lounge, dining room, and TV area with fireplaces as well as a lapa and an oak-covered terrace. Well-kept lawns and gardens surround the guest house and a night security guard will ensure your peace of mind. Dinner can also be provided by prior arrangement.

There are plenty of activities to keep you busy during your stay, including Packing Shed Tours at Wolwehok Farm, walks in the vineyard, hiking trails, bouldering, wine tasting, visits to a goat cheesery, san rock art visits, mountain bike trails, game viewing, 4x4 trails, and golf.
