Description
AQUARIUS is situated in the quite suburb of Cassandra, Kimberley. All the houses in Cassandra were previously owned by the diamond mining giant, De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd. Its current owner, Loa-Anne Myburgh, purchased it from from Lowell Aquadro who bought it from De Beers in 1990 and occupied it until 2003 before purchasing a new property and converting the house into five self-catering units.
ADSL has been installed for the convenience of the guests traveling for business or who needs to use the internet during their visits.
All units are self contained and each with its own separate entrance. No facilities are shared except for the swimming pool.
The units are serviced daily (Sunday's being an exception) and all are provided with fresh linen and towels together with the necessary toiletries. Each unit has a safe for valuable items. Minimum facilities in each kitchen include a microwave, two hotplates, a fridge, electric fryingpan together with cutlery, crockery & plates.
Irons & ironing boards, laundry service(for those staying longer) and tea and coffee are supplied in each unit. In addition each unit has its own outside area with braai facilities. M-Net, E-TV & SABC Channels available.
Additional sleeper couches/mattresses & cots are provided for children.
Continental breakfasts are not included in rates below. Adult: R 40 each/Child: R 20 each

Kimberley's greatest attraction is that of its history. Unfortunately, many people drive through and stop for a few hours to see the 'Big Hole'. Believe it not there are five big holes in the city, all of which are within a few kilometers of each other.
There are enough sites to keep one busy for at least 2 to 3 days. These would include:
Big Hole Museum ( R 50 million upgrade starting from 2004)
Underground Diamond Mine tours( weekdays only)
access to the Rooifontein Game farm(+- 3 km from Aquarius)
historic Boer War sites i.e. Magersfontein
game hunting or sightseeing within close proximity of Kimberley
fly fishing for 'yellows' in the Vaal or Riet Rivers
the Flamingo Casino, for those avid gamblers next to the Golf Club
Aquarius has been designed to make your stay in the Northern Cape to be as comfortable as can be. Even though it is mainly self-catering accommodation, it does provide a B & B service (Bed and Breakfast) by providing continental breakfasts if requested.
