The Anchorage is situated in a private and picturesque setting, right on the Goukou River which is navigable for 17 km and is only 3 km from the beach and town.

The lodge has stylish bedrooms with king-size or twin beds. There is underfloor heating in the full bathrooms, heated towel rails, shared DStv, a kitchenette and a balcony with lovely views onto the river. We serve delicious breakfasts and there is a restaurant on the property as well as a braai area.

The Anchorage is the perfect place to unwind and relax with a solar heated pool, large spacious outdoor area, beautiful lounge equipped with fireplace, safe beaches nearby, canoes available for hire, a nine-hole golf course, scenic walks, and river and sea fishing.

Your place, the room we stay in, the view, swimming pool and the canoes were great. One thins is that the sabc channels didn't work in the room and maybe a dual view dstv setup would maybe be a go idea. Besides all that it was great and we will be definitely come back and have told our friends about your place as well.

Located near the banks of the Goukou river, the accommodation is attached to the family house. The rooms are large, bright and comfortable. Annette and Craig make you feel very welcome and provide an excellent, comprehensive breakfast. Anchorage is a “work in progress”. A new swimming pool had just been completed and a poolside lounge was awaiting furnishings. New paths had been laid. Given a year or so and this new venture will mature into a very nice guest house, meanwhile it is well worth a visit.

Great accommodation in the most wonderful position. Could not have had a better setting and surrounds. If you are wanting a great place to stay then Anchorage is the place!
