Amberlea Guest House is situated in the green & leafy suburbs of Clarendon on the northern slopes of Pietermaritzburg. We are within 2km of The Wykeham Collegiate & Cordwalles schools as well as 2 minute drive from the CBD (12 minutes from the Liberty Midlands Mall). Warm hospitality is matched by excellent facilities. A stately Maritzburg family home extended into a guest house. The property is well-fenced, well-lit and very secure.
Two spacious rooms are available: The Darling Room and The Andy Room. Rooms are en-suite with private entrances and very secure. Facilities common to both rooms include - fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery. hospitality tray with home baked “goodies”. A two-plate cooker is available on request. Serviced daily (except on Sundays and some public holidays). Bathrooms are en-suite with shower-over-bath. Parking is off-street and access to the property is via remote control. Both rooms have a TV set (SABC 1,2,3 and ETV). The Darling Room has two twin beds which combine to form a magnificent king size bed. The spacious bathroom has room enough to swing the proverbial cat. The Andy Room has a lounge/kitchen area with a quaint staircase leading to the main bedroom above. The view from the bedroom is over the city with its twinkling lights at night. Both rooms are recently renovated and are beautifully decorated. Continental breakfasts are available on request.
