The Wildlife Lodge is located between the hills of Thornhill in the Malaria free Eastern Cape, situated 25 min from Jeffreys Bay and 45 min from Port Elizabeth.
On the reserve there is a bird sanctuary named African Dawn. In the sanctuary you can see a lot of endangered birds and animals, eat in the restaurant or take a swim at the pool.
The lodges are located in the middle of the game area in the heart of lush valley, surrounded by a variety of animals. When you wake in the morning you are able to see giraffe, tortoises, antelope, wildebeests, zebras, aardvark, springbok, cheetah, birds and of course a beautiful sunrise over the reserve. Could you morning start any better? Wait till you have breakfast in the fresh clear morning air.
The lodge is completely constructed from wood, which gives you the ‘back to nature’ feeling. There also is a bar ‘The Waterhole’ where everyone comes together and you will be able to enjoy drinks, have dinner and do a little dancing if you like.
At the bar we serve lots of different drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Inside the bar is a Braai (BBQ) place where we make Potjiekos, a typical South African dish made with many different ingredients in cast iron pots on the fire.
