It is an excellent launch for ski boats and Aliwal Shoal, just five km. off-shore, is rated the top ten in the world scuba diving destination. Whale & dolphin watching with the Sardine Run a must to see annually June / July. Umkomaas Golf Course is a challenging 18 hole course with stunning sea views situated in Moodie Street. This area of the coast is often referred to as the Golf Coast due to the amount of Golf courses here. The Beach ,golf course, restaurants and shops are just minutes walk from our spot Aliwalrest.
