A fantastic location, -

A beautiful guesthouse and warm friendly staff and owners. This is a very special place - an oasis of tranquility. A lot of attention to detail in this home away from home- a complementary bar fridge, a mobile phone in your room preprogrammed with the numbers of local restaurants and attractions for your use, breakfast itself was a lovely experience setting you up for the day. This place is excellent value for money

The owners are nice and helpful. Ask them for anything and they will help you for sure. Superb breakfast with homemade muesli. The rooms (house) has an old style but high standard. If you prefer modern design this isnt the one, but if you like genuine surroundings this is it. Perfectly located in Franschhoek. Near the main street and close to everything. Private pool outside our room in the private garden. Would love to go there again.

Oortuiging (Conviction) is our 1860’s luxury cottage. It has two en-suite bedrooms, a lounge, a kitchen and a dining room. It has its own pool and private garden. Oortuiging can sleep three but takes two in spacious luxury.
Gelatenheid (Equanimity) is our largest (220 square metre) guesthouse - a double storey just for two. The en-suite loft bedroom with king size bed, dressing and living room area opens onto an upstairs verandah with special views over the mountains and vineyards.
There is a romantic bath under the trees with a heated towel rail. Downstairs are a kitchen and a dining area overlooking a large pool and private garden.
Vreugde (Joy) sleeps two in twin three-quarter beds, or a king size bed on prior notice. The bath and shower are separate, there is a small kitchenette and French doors open onto a wide veranda with beautiful garden and private pool. One can lounge on the leather sofa on the porch listening to the birds and the singing of the fountain. This is a very intimate private place.
Uitsig (View) sleeps two in a king-size bed or, if previously requested, in twin three-quarter beds. The bath and shower are separate and French doors open onto a sun-baked balcony with a lovely view of the mountains.
This private, upstairs suite is wonderfully comfortable and spacious but has no access to a pool or private garden as do the others. For this reason it is ideal in the winter or as an extra suite when one wants to sleep parties of more than two adults in any of the other three guesthouses.
