Escape to the tranquility of the West Coast, with its abundant bird life, magnificent springtime flower displays, beautiful beaches and the meandering Berg River. Enjoy the magic of bird-watching, hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing, boating and much more.

Port Owen is a marina development in the quaint West Coast fishing village of Velddrif. Just 90 minutes away from Cape Town, it is situated on the banks of the Berg River, just a short distance from where the river runs into the sea at Laaiplek. We offer the discerning traveller a one-stop shop of accommodation and sight-seeing tours. See all the normal tourist sites, but also get to experience the real South African way of life in a relaxed village atmosphere.

We will fetch and carry you from Cape Town international airport, or Cape Town central, take you to our base at Port Owen and organise day trips or overnight trips from there, according to your requirements. We offer stylish accommodation at our B&B. Self-catering is also an option, minimum two rooms to be taken.
