Facilities

Acra Retreat Mountain View Lodge is an eleven-hectare property situated on the edge of a cliff on the border of the Elands Krans Nature Reserve.

The lodge offers stunning views, spa treatments, trout fishing, mountain biking, stone-circle viewing, abseiling, mountain climbing, horse riding, and more.

The rooms are luxurious and welcoming. Each room has a view and its own door leading to the outside deck. Acra Retreat has its own fully licensed pub, a trampoline, a swimming pool, and safe parking.

Sundowners can also be enjoyed on the deck while watching the magnificent display of colours on the mountains as the sun slowly sets. A set menu will be served on request.

The hosts speak German, Dutch, English and Afrikaans. Emphasis is laid upon peace and tranquility, and braai facilities are available.

It is a beautifullplace with great potential. The host is very friendly and helpfull and want to please everybody. The view from the room where we stayed was magnificient! We went to have peace and tranquility and thats what we got. The deck needs some attention but the host are aware and is busy looking to renovate. All and all a pleasant stay!

We had a great night at Acra and really enjoyed the Roast Chicken Dinner and accompanying wines. Was very intrigued by the old ruins we saw on the hillside and have enjoyed the book on them and other African Temples we bought. Very thought provoking.

Acra a fait l'unanimite du sejour aurès de nous 5. Chambres tresspacieuses, literies parfaites, douillet, l'endroit est magnifique, on se sent vraiment bien la bas. Accueil parfait. Un excellent choix si vous cherchez une halte sur la route du Kruger (ou pour y sejourner plus longtemps).

There is also a porch. Please make use of the swimming pool and trampoline.
