The Ambre Cottage is a long open sitting room containing a dining table, 2 X single beds & table, with stove, fridge & cooking facilities on the right.

It opens out to a front porch overlooking a green belt, Dawid’s Kraal and the blue sea.

Extremely private, with your own driveway and at a fair distance from the main house.

As you drive into your private driveway from Bass Road, the cottage sits before you, very safe and private under a large filao tree.

Behind you, across the freeway rises the Kogelberg Range.

The Front Porch is very sheltered from the South Easterly, you will have your own little porch with umbrella. A large braai can be moved to this area on request.

A hedge is on the right and large fig tree on the left. Totally private, with views of the green belt and the blue sea in all its changing moods.

Between the cottage and main house is a large garden displaying a large wisteria and many proteas, pin-cushions, ericas & restios. The little nooks are for the tenants useage.

The road meanders down to a large vlei called Malkops Vlei, which in turn has other paths down to the Bettys Bay main beach. Most invigorating for a good evening walk.

A path from the house leads down next to the Dawids Kraal River to a popular picnic spot and a good fishing beach, as well as the main beach. Looking back one can see AMBRE house & cottage tucked below the mountain—the horizontal one with the gray roof.
