35A La Vista is situated in the small coastal town of Mtwalume, on the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal. The self-catering unit is located in a secure village that overlooks the Mtwalume River which forms a beautiful lagoon where it enters the sea.

There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lounge area leads into a fully fitted kitchen and the unit has a balcony that offers beautiful views towards the ocean. The security village offers a tennis court and two swimming pools.

The area offers a variety of water activities such as scuba diving and fishing. Hike up to the spectacular Mtwalume Falls, or enjoy fishing and spearfishing which are also very popular in Mtwalume.

I'm sure the unit and area will appeal more to older couples or couples who want to get away from it all. My two girls got a bit bored as there is not much to do other than swim. The sun was extremely hot and this made it difficult to stay at the pool for longer than two hours at any time other than at 7 am. The pool was always clean and my girls took full advantage, sometimes even at 6 am due to the heat. However, be prepared to drive to Scottburgh or Port Shepstone for a rest ... more
