Situated in Klein Slangkop, a unique private, access controlled beach estate in Kommetjie. 2 on Orca provides the ultimate getaway from city life, yet is still close enough to enjoy the best of both worlds. Paradise for children, who can safely traverse the quiet estate roads on skateboards, bicycles or on foot, giving them an extended playground and a taste of what childhood was about in the old days.

This is where you come to kick your shoes off, get sand between your toes and really relax. This simple beach house is surrounded by natural Fynbos and looks out over the nature reserve and the mountains of Chapman's Peak and Hout Bay beyond. Waking to the call of whale song compels one to take the short walk through estate to Kommetjie's Long Beach and the pristine Noordhoek Beach, which stretches for miles, offering fabulous walking as well as a number of good surfing spots. On a lucky day you may spot the otters taking their morning constitutional, languid whales breathtakingly close and myriad of bird life.

The house itself is all about beach life simple screeded floors, open-plan living with doors folding out onto a wide shaded verandah, sparkling plunge pool and a delightful outdoor shower to connect you with the elements. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - a spacious main bedroom and a large second bedroom both with double beds, overlooking the nature reserve. The cosy bathroom, complete with Victorian bath also affords wonderful night time viewing of moonrise and the stars. Amenities include CD player/DVD with surround sound, TV no dish - but then you're coming here to get away from it all, Gas/electric hob/oven, washing machine and dish-washer.
