The only good thing about Glenwood is it is close to basic amenities and almost central to most sight seeing places in Durban. It's not a scenically great place and perhaps not an attractive suburb to stay in, but for short time visits to Durban, it's an economical place to stay.

Glenwood is an old suburb, close to KZN university and surrounded by all sorts of coffee shops and restaurants all alfresco surrounded with indigenous trees and parks all around. Glenwood has become very cosmopolitan. Shopping centres are also upgraded and become popular. There are lots of accommodation around - Bed and Breakfasts in general.

Used to live in Davenport Road 33 years ago, so it was a nostalgic visit. Much more development now. Enjoyed dining at the Olive and Oil Restaurant. Due to public holidays, was not able to explore shops. A peaceful and attractive suburb, especially the beautiful trees.

This was our first visit to Glenwood and we were really impressed. We felt at home and safe in the clean, convenient town. Everything we needed was in reach, such as hospitals, banks, Woolworths and restaurants. I can honestly recommend the area to anyone.
