Our tour started out from zimbabwe and after spending our first night at Nata we took a leisurely drive arriving at ghanzi in perfect time to enjoy a cool sundowner at a very welcoming stopover. Although we had booked the cheapest accommodation and no upgrade available we settled into our camp chairs enjoying our bottle of red wine surrounded by birdsong and the occasional crimson breasted shrike coming to feed on our rye biscuits. Our dinner was delicious and after our hot shower we snuggled into our tent for a good night sleep. Next time we will upgrade to a more spacious room but will certainly return.

Ghanzi is a small growing town that is ideal for travellers to stop in when travelling to between Namibia and Botswana. Considering that Botswana is quite expensive as a safari destination, travelling by car on a combined Namibia/Botswana trip makes the trip far more approachable. Furthermore there are establishments that are very affordable that will allow you to go on a Rhino tracking safari and give you a real insight on the bushmen life in the area! Love it!
