Gaborone Area

It's a nice city - not what you expect of a capital city. But if you like to see an improving African city than you are right. We walked a lot within the city centre ( main shopping area) and never felt insecure. In this area is also a helpful tourist office around. But don't stop asking until you are satisfied. It's not easy to find a good restaurant for the night but watch out for "Bull and Bush" and you will find a nice place to eat with a beer garden.

Laid back city. The people and Botswana Immigration Officials are not explicitly friendly to tourists. The road signs are few and confusing. There is a need for tourist agencies and literature even at the border. Botswana and Gaborone can do a lot more to attract tourists. The infrustructure is okay, but can still improve e.g. roads need completion, pavements are needed.

Gaborone is a wonderful place for me , i go there every year to get peace of mind, im always in the inner city do not know how beutiful is the outskirts of town especially the game reserves because i havnt been there, above all i love gaborone

Beatiful growing city, hospitable, kind people. Really a skining pearl and a gate to addictive Kalahari. So much southern Africa in the best way.

I think the city of Gaborone should maintain the #1 Ladies Detective Agency movie set. It could be a wonderful revenue from tourism. I wanted to grab a paint brush and preserve this little bit of Gaborone history.

It was a wonderful experience. I love the people, the atmosphere and the attitudes. Although I did not have much chance to travel around the area due to a tight work schedule, I would most definitely like to return with my family and parents and have them experience this magnificent country and its people.
