Dinokeng Game Reserve

What a great getaway and such a short ride away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. We stayed at Thekwane Lodge, which was a treasure. Did a game drive from Kwalata with Sam that was a wonderful experience for our 3 small grandchildren who had never been on a game drive before. He was so patient with the children and very knowledgeable. Thanks Sam. All certainly worth a visit next time we are in SA. Carole and David Hummerstone and Family from UK, SA and OZ.

What a wonderful quick get away from it all. There is the Big 5. But you have to see them at different lodges - Who cares, I’ve been to the Big 5 and it's takes me 5 days to see all 5 of them.. We stayed at Armar Farm House and every morning on the patio, I had my tea and watched the giraffes - Mom and baby, zebra's, wildebeest and bok. how can one not like a place when all you have to do is stagger out of bed and plonk yourself down to a beautiful morning view with your family and friends all renting one lovely house. Tut Tut Joburg for not trying out this spot so close to you. I’m from Joburg but now living in the USA and I found this gem half way across the world..

Great that the reserve is so close to Pretoria. Good for a day outing. Advise the booking of a game drive before you go as they seem to fill up quickly and there are no self drives allowed. Would definately go back. Huge potential as more game is introduced to the reserve.

Great to have a budding reserve like this in Gauteng.

This is mother nature at her best; the setting is great. It requires at least a four-day visit for one to have a full wildlife experience.
