Some of the cabins are equipped with braai areas and some of the cabins are offered on a bed and breakfast basis. Guests are able to select the best option for them. All of the cabins are equipped with guest amenities and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Guests can enjoy breakfasts and a-la-carte dinners in the restaurant and pub lunches are available throughout the day. There is a bar area with stunning sea view as well as satellite TV for major sporting events.

The lodge is situated on a small private game farm near the town of Hluhluwe, close to several game reserves.

The 12 twin bed rooms all feature a bathroom en-suite with a bath and shower. An interleading door makes these units perfect for families – kids can sleep in the neighbouring room while you still enjoy your privacy.

Units are fitted with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, private verandah and air-conditioner.

Lodge Afriquè is a bed and breakfast lodge offering eight free-standing, en-suite thatched units and can cater for up to 16 people at a time. The spacious chalets are situated in a tropical garden with a sparkling pool and each offers air-conditioning, a private outdoor shower and a patio.

All the chalets are connected to the central lodge by a raised wooden deck. The central lodge includes the breakfast area, bar, braai and leisure area, and is equipped with Satellite television and free Internet access. Secure parking is also provided.

This region, in the northeast of KwaZulu-Natal, is also known as the Elephant Coast; an astonishingly beautiful strip of land stretching some 220 km long and 70 km wide. Bound by mountains, the ocean and bushveld, the area holds many of nature's miracles and secrets and provides an unspoilt ecotourism playground with an untamed spirit.

Lake St Lucia is a 65 km long estuary system with a total area of 330 km. iSimangaliso Wetland Park, previously known as the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, was declared a World Heritage Site on 1 December 1999. With a surface area of 32 800 hectares, the park is considered the second largest in South Africa. The town of St Lucia has a vibrant holiday atmosphere with all the necessary amenities such as restaurants, curio shops and several tour operators.

Visitors to the region are often faced with the choice of staying within the park’s large 250 bed state run Hilltop Camp or in a private lodge outside of the reserve.

Hluhluwe River Lodge is situated just 25 minutes from the Memorial Gate entrance and offers daily morning, evening and full day guided trips into the reserve. We offer an intimate and personalised lodge experience for 24 guests in a location overlooking Lake St Lucia. Also on offer are a variety of adventures such as horse riding, scenic mountain bike trails, hikes, boat trips and a tour on quad bikes.

Meals are served most often on the lodge terrace with its view of the lake and surrounding bush. African Spirit Game Lodge is a Big 5, privately owned 3 star Game Lodge, situated 12 km west of Mkuze. We invite guests to come and experience true luxury and warm African hospitality. The lodge is magnificently set in the heart of Zululand, against the backdrop of the Lebombo Mountains. The lodge is situated within the Zululand Rhino Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal.

We have two self-catering units and four chalets. The two self-catering units can accommodate six and four people alternatively. Both units are comfortable, fully equipped with open-plan kitchens. Everything you need is provided for self-catering purposes. Each unit have a stove, a microwave oven and a fridge-freezer. All linen, bedding, bath towels, toilet paper, kitchen utensils, crockery and a reasonable quantity of firewood is supplied. Please supply your own swimming towels. Cleaning services are included once a day, before midday. Sundays & public holidays there are no cleaning services. Selected satellite channels and a decoder is available in each self-catering unit. Guests can bring their own cards for full DStv. The chalets are comfortable and stylish, each chalet can accommodates two guests and comprises of two single beds, en-suite bathroom, air-conditioner, minibar, ceiling fan, and tea and coffee facilities.

Game drives minimum two people, please book for game drives in advance. All game drives are conducted from our lodge in an open game viewer. We can do game drives twice a day; early morning anytime from 05h00 and late afternoon anytime from 15h30 all depending on the weather.

Game drives are R300 per adult and R150.00 per child 3-11 years. No self-drives are allowed in the reserve. Guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol on the game drive. Please note: Parents must be advised that game drives are 3 hours long and it will be appreciated if children are supervised to consider the other guests on the game drive. We have the Big 5 and it is imperative that noise levels be to the minimum for safety reasons. No children under the age of 3 are allowed on game drives.

Please note: there is no meal option with self-catering and we do not have an open restaurant on the premises.

Besides catching a glimpse of the activity at the watering hole, the rooms also look up at the majestic Ubizane Hill.

A beautiful lodge with a heritage spanning over 40 years, Safari Lodge is scattered around the spacious rolling lawns dotted with aged aloes, replanted from different areas on the farm, as well as scented thorn trees providing a beautiful backdrop to the setting. Rondavel-style rooms all face the constant watering hole nestled under the marula trees quenching in the thirst of the giraffe, zebra, nyala, impala, and kudu. The watering hole is also lit at night giving a possible glimpse of animals roaming around in the dark.

There is a variety of different styled rooms at Safari Lodge, all of them with our trademark glass panelled sliding doors, allowing not an inch of nature escaping without being noticed by the guests from within the rooms. All rooms are fully self-catering, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a private patio with comfortable furniture.

Safari Lodge has a swimming pool area, communal braais, and a boma with a bonfire pit which can be used on request. We do not charge any additional costs for the use of Family Rooms but we do however limit them to only be used for guests of minimum three people. We charge a per person per night rate and extra for additional guests.
