This happening spot in Gordons Bay is definitely the place to be whether you're young or just young at heart. Bar-bay-dos offers a simple menu that consists mainly of tapas-style foods, and the main attraction here is the sublime cocktails that are mixed to perfection. Bar-bay-dos has live music acts two to three times a week and the variety ranges from rock to 80's to latin tunes. The menu is small and dishes include grilled Portuguese sardines either rolled in coarse salt and grilled the traditional way or butterflied and grilled, served with spicy Portuguese chilli salsa and rice. Be sure to try the Jalapeno chilli poppers stuffed with feta and cream cheese, an ideal dish to share. Beef schnitzel, succulent espatada and butter-filled prawns are also on offer. A variety of seafood can also be enjoyed and make a point of trying the Mississippi mud pie for dessert - it really is as indulgent as it sounds.
