Die Kliphuis is a magnificent eatery in a magnificent location. As soon as you walk in the door, actually step out your car, they are eager to serve you. There are seating options inside and outside, but on a beautiful enjoying your meal outside is a must. Die Kliphuis is literally on the beach - no road in between - and offers the most stunning views of the vast Atlantic Ocean. Be sure to try catch a sunset. Right after you are led to your beautifully dressed table, a chair gets pulled out for you and heated towels are provided to wash your hands. This might sound quite pretentious, but in this setting you will feel true chivalry instead of an uppity atmosphere. You are then treated to bread and sometimes a small cup of soup to get that appetite going. The menu is large and you will find yourself spoilt for choice. Try the chicken cordon bleu, juicy and perfectly cooked, one of the succulent steaks or one of the many freshly prepared seafood dishes. Here you can saunter in the sun, breathe clean sea air and enjoy a lazy glass of wine and a great meal.

Dieu Donne delivers a ‘world menu’ which includes French Huguenot Provincial fare, with a unique combination of African, Asian & Mauritian influences. The open planned professional kitchen makes dining an interactive experience and adds to the energy that the restaurant exudes. A point of interest at this location is the micro brewery. Visitors are welcome to taste the beer the farm yields. Wine tasting is also recommended. Dieu Donne is also a prime wedding and function venue.

End with a delectable dessert of Deep Fried Ice-cream with caramelised berries. The mains on offer caters for the not so hungry in the form of snack baskets, while the carnivores will certainly tuck into the Rib Eye or Rump steak selection without being asked twice. The restaurant offers some great entertainment in the summer months. EAT offers a relaxed setting that is wheelchair friendly.

Guests can also choose to dine outdoors in the lovely little courtyard – the prefect spot on a balmy summer’s evening. The inter-continental menu has some Asian and German influences.
