Choose from the daily changing a la carte menu or indulge in Amisfield’s famous shared dining experience, Trust the Chef set menu where you will be served a selection of dishes designed to be shared at the table; all dishes are seasonal and chosen by the chef based on the freshest ingredients available on the day. Open Tuesday to Sunday, from 11.30am to 8pm; the last bookings are at 6pm. Amisfield Bistro is a finalist for the Cuisine NZ Restaurant of the Year 2011 awards.

Chef Darius van Rensburg and owner Marietjie van der Merwe combined forces to forge a menu that is a fresh interpretation of the traditional. Popular dishes on the summer menu include the crayfish cocktail and the linguine with smoked mountain trout. The wine estate’s deli also caters for traditional picnics to be taken under its oak trees, while Sundays afford family and friends braai (barbeque) picnic options.
