A variety of veal and fish dishes are also available. A great wine list complements the menu and instead of choosing from a 'great wine list', you pick straight from the wine rack. This wonderful, relatively new restaurant is situated a stone's throw from the beach in Strand and is the ideal hangout for long, lazy lunches and beautiful dinners. The menu is refreshing and creative with dishes like gourmet baguettes, original, gourmet pizzas and the favourite sharing food - sushi. Try the bitterballen as a starter, five traditional round Dutch croquettes served with mustard, or a lovely picnic basket for two filled with a French baguette, garlic gamba’s, Italian cold meat cuts, brie and gorgonzola, fig preserve, fruit, marinated olives, salad, Amsterdammertjes, sparkling wine or Ega Rooibos tea. This should be ordered two hours in advance. The pizzas are truly unique and the breakfast pizza with free range eggs and bacon topped with Parmigiano Reggiano is a must-try. A wide variety of coffees, teas, wines, dessert wines and sparkling wines are available. As Carolina says: 'Buon appetito, Lekker eet, Enjoy, Bon appétit, Eet smakelijk, Selamat makan, Born up a tree!'

Orange Bleu is open for lunch and dinner on request from Monday to Sunday and from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 5 pm until closing time. Booking is essential.
