Windhoek area lends Itself to many activities, such as visits to historical monuments, cultural approach to Katutura and In Its surroundings there is the opportunity of walking among the wild animals in the parks and even horseback riding, for example at the Arub Chalets. It 's very rewarding also seeing the beautiful botanic gardens and dams near the city teeming with a wide variety of local birds and mammals. Windhoek really worth while a visit!

Beautiful city and surroundings. Game viewing and rural environment makes it different from other cities. The strong German influence in the architecture of churches, hotels, etc. adds an interesting touch.

This is a very clean city with interesting buildings and a good mix of new and old German architecture. It is well worth a visit.
