This mother and daughter team have been running for a few years and just seem to add that family feel to their establishment. One of the things they agree on is that they are serious about coffee. Pop in for a home-made breakfast – hot, hot, hot and extremely fresh – and your daily dose of caffeine. Cut into a fresh quiche for lunch! The menu changes daily and is filled with the spontaneous creations of this duo. They offer occasional dinners and specials are regularly offered, such as pizza night or set menu dishes. The back garden is a great place to hide from the outside world on a hot day. Truly a lovely setting and atmosphere! Trading hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday and from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. The establishment only accepts cash payments.

They get their great roasted coffee beans locally at a micro-roastery in the village. The blend is a mixture of a Guatemalan bean, Honduras and Costa Rica beans and an Ethiopian bean. They offer a variety of espresso-based drinks as well as smoother drinks such as cappuccino. Pick your cup and order one of the all-day breakfasts, prepared on the spot. Or have a rooibos-type drink and snack on a freshly prepared pastry or sandwich. A range of iced drinks are also available. Have your choice from the light meals menu served from 11 am to 4 pm. The options include gnocchi with butternut and blue cheese, Tuscan pasta salad with artichokes and a homemade dressing, or try the homemade pie, plus more. Caffé Blu values its customers and has brought about loyalty cards with the occasional free coffee or your choice to rather donate, or the Blu Student Card for scholars with great discount deals. Trading hours are Monday to Saturday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Sundays and holidays from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
